5 GCSEs at grade A*-C to include English
How long is the course?
One year – Full time
What will I do?
Three units:
- Meeting Individual Needs
- Promoting Health and Well-being
- Investigating Disease
How will I be taught?
Lessons and lectures are underpinned by tutorial support, seminar presentations, assignments, individual study, group discussion, projects and Interactive Learning Technologies (ILT)
How will I be assessed?
Ongoing assessment of coursework, projects and formal examinations
Where will it take me?
Accumulate points with other AS/A2 Levels for entry into higher education for programmes related to the following professions:
- Nursing/Midwifery
- Teaching
- Social Work
- Many other Health and Social Care professions
Progress to the Advanced A Level Double Award Health and Social Care.
You may choose to go directly into employment.
I'm really enjoying my course. I find the tutors helpful and encouraging and they have helped me to develop my skills and become more confident with my ideas.
