Fees and Concessions
Fees
Unless otherwise agreed all fees must be paid at the time of enrolment. The information below details how part time course fees are structured. The total cost of your course is made up of:
Tuition fee
Generally the fees quoted apply to anyone over 16 years of age. If you receive certain benefits you may be entitled to tuition fee concession, see detailed information below.
Accreditation fee
Where your course leads to a qualification the awarding body will charge an examination or registration fee.
In some cases we are still awaiting details from the awarding body and this is marked “To be advised” (TBA).
Other Costs
For some practical courses a materials or demonstration charge is made. These are clearly shown in the guide and a total cost is calculated to give you a clear cost of your study.
Registration Fee
A registration fee of £13.00 is payable by ALL enrolling students each academic year.
Discounts
On certain courses students may be able to obtain concessionary fees depending on circumstances.
Tuition fee concessions are available if you are in receipt of the following, depending on the nature of the course.
- Job Seekers Allowance
- Income-based Employment & Support Allowance
- 16-18 year old student as at the 31st
- August in the relevant funding year
- Adult Basic Education (Literacy/Numeracy)
If you are claiming a concession you will need to produce documentary evidence of any benefit or that of the person on whom you are dependent.
Please provide proof of the concession to the enrolment officer. Evidence is a current official letter confirming your benefit.
The letter can be obtained from the Benefits
Processing Agency (Tel. 0845 6003115). The evidence must be provided at the time of enrolment.
Please note that any concessionary discounts apply to tuition fees only and do not apply to exam fee or other fees that the course may require.
Payment
Payment can be made with Cash - Cheque - Credit /Debit Card. In certain circumstances your fees may be paid in instalments. Please ask before enrolling.
Payment by Invoice
If your company is paying your tuition fees a company letter will be required at the time of enrolment.
Level 2 Qualifications
If you are over 19 and have not yet achieved 5 GCSEs or the equivalent you may be entitled to free tuition, please enquire at enrolment.
Level 3 Qualifications
If you are between 19 and 24 you may be entitled to free tuition, please enquire at enrolment.
Level 4 Qualifications
If you are between 19 and 24 you may be entitled to free tuition, please enquire at enrolment.

Where numbers fall below this level it may be necessary to cancel the course. If this is the case, we will endeavour to find an alternative for you or offer you a full refund.
