Music Concert Project, January 2009

The concert of the 15th of January was held in the main hall of the Hagley Road site. It was staged as part of the students coursework and assignment requirements.

The groups involved had to perform two tracks and show that they could work as an ensemble. Some of the students were from the A2 Music course and were performing towards their coursework. Each group was recorded as part of the assignment evidence and photos were taken too.

There will be another night like this where each group will perform four to six tracks at the Rock Cafe in the sort of environment they would usually encounter out in the real world, with full PA gear, Lighting and an audience who are there for the night out. This will be an excellent introduction to the wonderful world of gigging and live musician work for many of the students who are just setting out on their careers as jobbing musicians.
