Ouroboros Records Gig
The BTEC National Diploma students in the second year of their course put on a Product Launch at the River Rooms in Stourbridge as part of their Final Major Project Assessment.

Students had planned, recorded and produced a double album of tracks, one CD being unplugged and one being electric. Each had responsibility for one track on each album, and as part of their company, Ouroboros Records, they undertook roles in preparation for the product launch event.
The booking and using of a commercial venue was something new for most students and they had to budget, plan and put on the event, which at the end of the evening, more than broke even through admissions and sales of the CD. The event consisted of tracks from the albums, plus other material and was hosted by Liam Duffield. DJ for the night was Lee Walkerdine, who kept the continuity of the whole event flowing in a very discreet but professional manner. All students took some part in the performance, either playing their own tracks or supporting others.
