Travel and Tourism Student Adrian Tolley scoops Student OSCARS Award
On Thursday 30th June at the Copthorne Hotel, Merry Hill, Adrain Tolley from Travel and Tourism received the Student OSCARS Award for his programme area. Adrian was nominated for the prestigious award for his outstanding success and abilities. In celebration Adrian, along with 17 other students from programme areas across the college were invited with family to attend the Student OSCARS Awards ceremony along with guests including Margot James MP and Dave Nolan -Chair of Governors and Lynette Cutting – Principal of Stourbridge College. Award winner Adrian took away has OSCARS trophy along with a £100 gift voucher.

Adrian Tolley enrolled onto the BTEC Introductory Vocational Studies level 1 at Stourbridge College in September 2009. On completion of this with an Overall Distinction Grade he progressed onto the BTEC Level 2 Diploma in Travel and Tourism. Throughout this time, Adrian always worked hard and made significant improvements in the quality of his work really paying attention to detail. Adrian has achieved an overall grade of a Merit for the Level 2 Diploma in Travel and Tourism and produced some fantastic work throughout. Adrian has a very creative flare which has really shown in his work. (Adrian created a 3D Gorillas head for a Cadbury World Marketing campaign).
Adrian has fully embraced all aspects of college life through involvement with focus groups and assistance on several occasions with Open Events and Student Interviews. Adrian has excelled with his exceptionally smart appearance at these events and made a fantastic representation of the college. Adrian is also the only student we have ever known in Travel & Tourism to have maintained 100% attendance and 100% punctuality throughout the entire Btec course and could be commended for this alone.
Adrian now looks forward to starting the Level 3 Diploma in Travel and Tourism due to commence in September.
