Travel Agents Visit

On Friday 28th November a group of First Diploma travel students went to Thomas Cook travel agents in Merry Hill for a talk from Customer Service Manager Brian Little.

Students started off with a Question and Answer session for their Customer service module finding out all about Customer policies, Customer complaints and whether the credit crunch is affecting the industry.

Students were also shown how to make a booking using their system and looked around the shop before taking photos.

The students were very good in representing the college modelling the Travel student uniform and behaving in a profession way. The students said they had learnt a lot from the visit and had a clearer picture of the retail travel industry.

Staff accompanying the visit felt the students had a very realistic look into the industry and that Brian virtually backed up everything that is taught in the classroom making it real.
