Year 1 Residential to Alton Towers

National Diploma and Extended Diploma first year travel students recently enjoyed a one night stay at the Alton Towers resort as part of their course. Linked into their business of travel unit they were able to put to use their first hand experience on the residential to highlight Alton Towers competitive advantage over other theme parks.

They enjoyed time in the water park as well as 2 days exploring the theme park along with experiencing the fantastic hospitality of a first class hotel.

The residential included an all you can eat buffet, full breakfast and fun themed family rooms – all contributing to research for units such as Hospitality, Conference and Exhibitions, Customer Service, Business of travel and Marketing.

The hotel showed fantastic attention to one student in particular who was celebrating her bierthday with a public display of happy birthday and cake to follow.

It was a very successful residential enjoyed by both staff and students.
