In the top 25% of Further Education Colleges in England and Wales, Stourbridge College offers high quality standards of excellence. Situated in the heart of the Black Country with Centres in Stourbridge, Halesowen, Kingswinford, Kidderminster and Brierley Hill the college has award winning refectories and well stocked Learning Resources Centres giving students access to a wide range of technology, books and resources suited to their individual course choices and needs.

The college has approximately 10,000 students, with about 1,400 16-18 year olds studying a wide range of full-time courses including A Levels, Vocational & Professional, Construction & Motor Vehicle as well as a wide range of apprenticeships. Other students are generally engaged in day-release, evening and training courses - some of which are funded.

Success rates for full time students has increased 26% over the past few years and the college has good progression rates and strong links with local universities. Its employer training arm, Business Skills, which is accredited with the Training Quality Standard, offers support and training to local businesses and employers, as well as professional development for employees, gas and electric training approved by the Gas Safe Register and courses and training for the unemployed.

Statistics have shown that for the past three years the college is the Best Performing in the Black Country based on the student progression journey.
