Reference material
We have a comprehensive collection of reference material including:
Britannica Encyclopaedias – including a mciropaedia for quick reference, a macropaedia for indepth study and yearly updates.
Colliers Encyclopaedia – a 24-volume edition arranged alphabetically with illustrations to provide a comprehensive research tool.
World Book Encyclopaedia – presents information from the vast reservoir of knowledge to meet everyday reference needs.
Dictionaries – a wide selection of English dictionaries and modern language dictionaries.
Medical Guides – a selection of medical reference guides including Blacks Medical Dictionary and The Royal Society of Medicine Encyclopaedia of Family Health.
Occupations – a comprehensive reference book containing details of around 600 jobs and careers.
Keesings – a unique contemporary record of modern history and
a source of current affairs based on the monitoring of the world’s
press.

World Atlases – including Ordnance Survey,
political and archaeological atlases.
These books cannot be borrowed but can be used for research within the Learning Resources Centre.
