Graduation Glory

Stourbridge College sports students celebrated their graduation in the splendour of Worcester Cathedral recently.

The awards were presented by Stourbridge College Faculty Director Paula Dowdeswell who said: "It was a fantastic day. Our students have studied in partnership with University of Worcester and graduated in Higher National Diploma for Sports Coaching and Management."

Two of the graduating students have studied at Stourbridge College from 16 years of age, 21 year old Samantha Mason from Brockmoor achieved her HND in Sports Coaching and Management, and John Shaughnessey age 21 from Brierley Hill, progressed to a full degree programme, BSc with Honours in Sports Studies, and achieved a 2:1, which was an excellent achievement.

Paula Dowdeswell added: "The Sports Coaching and Management qualifications are nationally recognised and offer the opportunity to make excellent career progressions and I wish all of our graduating students every success in the future."
