Courses For Horses
Stourbridge College is offering some exciting new courses for 2009 and visitors will be able to get all the information they need from the horse’s mouth if they attend the college OPEN EVENT on Saturday 31st January 2009 – helping students to make the jump into further education.
Student gets to grips with new horse course.
Two new courses, the BTEC First Diploma in Horse Care will provide students with the knowledge and practical skills to look after and ride horses while the BETC National Diploma in Horse Management covers horse care, horse riding, biology and a range of business and management skills to support working in a more senior role in the industry. The college will also be offering the NPTC Certificate in Equine Skills.
The OPEN EVENT is designed to help pupils in their last two years at school make decisions about what direction they would like to take when they leave. As well as providing information and advice on the courses available, tutors and staff will be on hand to answer any queries. Visitors will also get the chance to view the various campuses and see first hand what facilities the College has to offer.
Russ Henry, Senior Director for Vocational & Professional Studies at Stourbridge College, said: “We have a number of new courses showcased at our Open Event which will be of interest to students leaving school – as well as the horse care diplomas we are also offering a new course on software development and computer games. The great thing about Stourbridge College is that there’s something for everyone.”
