Music Group Records Success
Stourbridge College second year music student, Rebecca Attwood, 18, led the organisation of two concerts recently as part of her BTEC Music Technology course – and the group recorded some major success!
Music concert organised by students.
Rebecca and other second year students organised the music concerts as part of their BTEC Music Technology Course whereby they had around 8 weeks to set up a record company and promote the events.
First and second year students performed alongside friends and family with a mix of 14 Rock and Acoustic acts signed up to perform.
Rebecca said: “I have really enjoyed organising this event. I would like to go onto university to study music technology and eventually set up my own music venue so I can continue to use the skills I’ve learned on my course.”
Natasha Mortlosk, 18, said: “It has been a lot of hard work but we were all really excited about performing at the concert, and showcasing our talent in front of friends and family. This has given us a real insight into how to run and promote a music event.”
