Fiona, 15 from Brierley Hill, visited the college to look at the wide range of A Level courses on offer. She is particularly interested in music and hopes to study A Levels in Music and Music Technology.
Fiona said: “I really liked the college, it had a nice friendly atmosphere and all of the staff were very helpful. The courses look great and I hope that I’ll be able to apply. It was great to hear that I’d won the vouchers, just in time for Christmas and my birthday which is next week!”
Caroline Northway, Services to Schools Co-ordinator at Stourbridge College, said: “All visitors to our Open Events – and we had over 1,000 through the doors this year – were invited to fill in an evaluation questionnaire with a chance to win £100 Westfield vouchers. Our team works very closely with local schools in the area and I’m delighted that Fiona was the lucky winner.”
Lynn Aston, Principal at Thorns Community College, said: “We have very strong links with Stourbridge College and I’m delighted that Fiona is interested in carrying on her education by taking A Levels. She is a very good pupil with 100% attendance and always achieves very good grades. Her shopping trip to Merry Hill is much deserved.”
Stourbridge College’s next Open Event is on Saturday 30th January 2010 - 10.00 am until 1.00 pm.
