The students Tutor, Ruth Jones, said: “They were all very keen to raise as much money as they could. I left the day’s organisation to the students. I have been very impressed with their determination as it was very difficult for them to find a food store that would accommodate them at such a busy time of the year but, with perseverance, they were eventually successful with Iceland.”
Rachael Perry and Sam Beddows were elected as class spokespersons and were responsible for arranging the day with the Supermarket.
Sam said: “We chose the Birmingham Children’s Hospital after watching video appeals during a childcare lesson. It really touched our hearts and we wanted to help raise money to support them, we hope that the money we have raised can go towards helping support some of the children and their families at Birmingham Children’s Hospital”
