Open Day Promises To Be Ace

Stourbridge College’s Leasowes Park Horticultural & Catering Centre based in Halesowen is holding an Open Day on Sunday 16th May 2010 between 11.00 am and 2.00 pm – and it promises to be a blooming success!

The college’s Assisted Continuing Education (ACE) offers full time and part time courses for people of all ages with learning difficulties and some students progress to mainstream courses in vocational areas such as woodwork, plumbing, motor vehicle – some can progress to occupational programmes in catering or horticulture.

Lynn Glazzard, Programme Area Manager, said: “Information on full time courses in horticulture and catering will be available at the Open Day as well as hanging baskets and bedding plants for sale at bargain prices. The Gardeners Rest Café will be open for ploughman’s lunch, homemade cakes and refreshments.”
