Ace Students Fly The Flower Flag
Stourbridge College Assisted Continuing Education students, based at the Leasowes Centre in Halesowen, have celebrated the start of the World Cup with a unique England Flag – one made entirely of bedding plants and flowers!

The horticulture students had the blooming great idea when they were asked to come up with ideas for planting a new flower bed - they planned the scheme out , picked the plants and marked out the cross before planting.
Alyn Ainsworth, lecturer at Leasowes, said: “We thought that the students’ idea was great and we planted the flower flag in good time for the plants to flourish just before the World Cup kicked off at the beginning of June. They are all really pleased with their efforts and the flag looks great!”
