Stourbridge Students Best In Black Country
Once again Stourbridge College students are setting high standards in their A Levels and Vocational Qualifications and statistics have shown this year that they are both best in the Black Country and in the top 25% nationally.
This year, Stourbridge College students outperformed students at other FE colleges with the highest scores in all three League Table measures.
The college has increased its score per student by 11 points to 674 and its score per entry increased by 7 points to 216. These scores make it the best performing Further Education college in the Black Country.
The college also increased its Value Added score by 14 points to 1026 placing it in the top 25% of schools and colleges nationally.

Value Added (Contextual Value Added) measures the potential of students’ progression from when they start in Further Education and takes into account their previous performance in GCSEs. It is a good measure of how well colleges and schools support students in their studies.
Lynette Cutting, Principal at Stourbridge College, said: “Stourbridge College students have again achieved an outstanding performance in A Levels, National Diplomas and other qualifications this year which is a real boost to education in the region. We pride ourselves on the quality of our education and it’s pleasing to see that our students are achieving their potential in preparation for their next step in life.”
