Student in the Powerchair
Stourbridge College Higher National Diploma student, Chris Gordon, has proved that he is a world class football player despite being in a wheelchair.

Chris, 20, from Stourbridge has been selected for the provisional squad due to take part in the Powerchair Football World Cup which takes place in Paris later this year.
In the second year of his Sports Coaching HND which is run in partnership between Stourbridge College and the University of Worcester, Chris works part time with West Bromwich Albion Football Coaching in the Community – coaching disabled and visually impaired children. He also plays for the Wheelchair Football Association National League.
He said: “I got into wheelchair football when I was at school and my PE teacher at Redhill suggested I go along to some trials. I have been playing for Sporting Club Albion for four years and I decided to the Higher National Diploma as it was local to home, accredited by a university and meant I could still play football. I am proof that having a disability doesn’t stop you!”
Andrew Glover, Sports Lecturer at Stourbridge College, said: “Chris now faces a year to training camps to stake his claim for a place in the final eight man squad and we wish him all the best in his push to get there.”
