College Students Aim Higher
Stourbridge College students have been pushing themselves to the limit by taking part in weekly indoor rock climbing sessions – and it’s certainly building on their aspirations to aim higher.

Aaron Jenkins, studying Electrical Installation at the Advanced Technology Centre in Brierley Hill, and Daniel Webb, studying Travel & Tourism Level 2 at the Hagley Road Centre, put their best foot forward in the enrichment session in the hope it will eventually lead them to greater things.
Steve Woollock, Carpentry & Joinery Lecturer at Stourbridge College, said: “We have arranged the regular sessions so that students get the opportunity to participate in a sport that tests their physical and problem solving skills whilst giving them the opportunity to work with other students in developing their skills in communication and teamwork. It’s also a chance to have fun climbing up vertical and overhanging walls!”
More sessions are planned at Wolf Mountain in Wolverhampton for students over the coming weeks.
