Equality Act (2010) and subsequent General and Specific Public Duties
Stourbridge College, as a public sector body with 150+ employees, has a duty to publish information to demonstrate that the organisation has considered and taken action to address the three key aims of the General Duties :-
- to eliminate unlawful discrimination
- to advance equality of opportunity
- to foster good relations between people who share a protected characteristic and people who do not share it
The information which the College is required to publish by 31 January 2012 is mainly contained within our Annual Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Report 2010/11 which is available now and will be uploaded with additional information shortly.
