Fringe trip fundraising drive by theatre group

A group of actors with learning difficulties are appealing for help to let them return to the Famous Edinburgh Fringe Festival to perform their latest play.
The Side by Side Theatre Group based at Stourbridge College needs to raise £17,000 to fund the trip to the international festival this August.
So far the group and its supporters have raised £9,000 through a variety of fundraising activities towards the cost of their visit to perform the play, The Wrong Garden, at the festival.
Artistic director Susan Wallin said: "A group of people including parents, carers and friends have been working very hard to raise the money by holding quiz nights and talks and we are hopeful we will be able to raise the amount we need in time."
"We have taken students to the Edinburgh Festival for the last two years. It is a fantastic experience for the students."
"We have some new ones in the group this year but the ones who have been before just can't wait to go back again."
