Drama and Dance Festival Success
Stourbridge College Dance & Drama students recently took part in the Dudley Competitive Festival of Music, Drama and Dance held at Dudley College.

The Monday Drama students came away with the Chairman's Trophy, first place with 87 marks, for their performance of ‘The Doors’ which is a new production about rival forces of light and darkness battling for the hearts and minds of a young prince and princess.
The Tuesday Dance/Drama students won first place in their section with 'Playing With Fire' and have brought home the Stourbridge College Cup for Contribution To The Expressive Arts, with another Distinction and 87 marks.
The group also entered the Special Dance Class and came first with 85 marks for their dance, ‘I Believe I Can Fly’.
The Thursday Dance students came second with 84 marks for ‘Princes Of The Universe'
Performing Arts Lecturer Susan Wallin said: “All the students have worked exceptionally hard over the last few months to achieve these very high standards of work. “The three adjudicators praised them for their commitment and 'wonderful sense of group participation'.”
Adjudicator Paul Bench said of The Doors: “This was excellently entertaining, varied, alive, with exciting moments”.
