Masked fun for students

Stourbridge College drama students with learning difficulties have been learning to make masks for their new production based on the traditional Commedia del Arte style.

Students on the College's Learning for Life programme spent six weeks working at the Ruskin Mill College under the guidance of the Glasshouse Theatre's artistic director Mike Chase, a leading expert in making and performing with masks.

The students are currently working on a piece to be included in their summer 2006 production, which will feature some of the masks made at Ruskin Mill.
